Some of the most thrilling moments in movie history happen to be those that are not usually performed by the big name actor. Instead, these type of death defying scenes are performed by doubles that are professionally trained. Despite stunt safety precautions, there have been some accidents that have caused injury or death to the person. For example, a veteran stuntman, in the 1986 movie Top Gun, was killed during a flat spin in the plane he was piloting. Another example is the woman who was doubling for Angela Basset in the 1995 movie Vampire in Brooklyn. She met her death during a free fall that went wrong.
