My Mother the Car

Contrary to popular belief, My Mother the Car was not the worst TV Show. That honor, according to 2002 TV Guide goes to The Jerry Springer Show.

The 1965-1966 TV show starring Jerry Van Dyke as a lawyer who’s mother has been reincarnated as a 1928 Porter Touring Car actually was very popular among children. Adults and Critics, however, universally panned the series. Had advertisers been a bit more savvy at marketing to children in the 1960’s, the show may have run longer than it’s 30 episodes.
