issued:

“District 10 RCMP recently issued an alert about an all-terrain vehicle stolen from owners in Saint-Leonard.
It should be easily recognized by the fans of Bo, Luke and Daisy and the Dukes of Hazzard.

Police described the ATV, which was stolen on Sept. 20, as a 2000 Honda 400EX, black and orange in colour and “covered with stickers like those on the General Lee from the American television series Dukes of Hazzard.

District 10 RCMP are asking anyone with information about the stolen vehicle to contact their office at 506-473-3137 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).”

For those not in the know:

Well now, the Duke boys made great use of those doors that were welded closed and windows that were always open. Many boys who came of age in the era of “The Dukes of Hazzard” tried to do the same thing in their parents car, much to the consternation of their elders. The car in question was a 1969 Dodge Charger, painted orange with an image of the Confederate flag on the roof and the number 01 painted on the doors. And many of you may recall the customized air horn that played the first notes of “Dixie.” Legend has it that the studio purchased 309 of these Chargers over the life of the show.

Lastly, for the thieves in Canada, Look out for Roscoe P Coletrain, he’s on the case, the “hills may get you but the law never will…”
